Duck River Agriculture is a Portuguese company. Our people live in Portugal, our crops and harvests are Portuguese and 100% of the company's focus is on Portugal.
In addition, almonds were valued by the Celts and Romans who inhabited Portugal millennia before the first almond tree was planted in California by Spanish missionaries, planting thus the seed for California's dominance in the almond business. Portuguese boats crossed the globe loaded with products from this country centuries before the first Australian almond was unloaded in Europe.

IN PORTUGAL
Since 2019, Duck River has been present in Portugal, investing to become a reference in almond production. What started with a plantation in the Beira Baixa region – the “pioneer” Antinha – quickly grew to different districts and regions of Portugal. The second Duck River plantation takes place in Alentejo, in 2020, it currently has a strong presence in both regions – Beira Baixa and Alentejo.
Duck River's ambition is to continue to grow, contributing to a sustainable and integrated production of Portuguese almonds, which stand out in the global market.
With the activity and team in rapid growth, there was a strong determination to dematerialize working methods and use technology in all operations, thus increasing the ability to work remotely, effectiveness in control and efficiency in decision making.
